About Us
The Bond Board is a charitable organisation that enables homeless people to access and maintain private rented accommodation; by offering written guarantees in place of cash deposits.
We operate in Bolton, Bury and Rochdale. We offer a floating support service for service users, to help people keep their tenancies and to deal with money, housing, health and many other issues. We also have a landlord advice and training facility. We aim to reduce homelessness by raising standards in the private rented sector and supporting tenants and landlords.
Aims
- To deliver and maintain the rental/deposit/promissory bond scheme for the client group within the areas of Bolton, Bury & Rochdale.
- To provide advice and support to clients to prevent them from becoming homeless. To enable them to maintain tenure and move towards independent living.
- To work in partnership with local authorities to raise standards of letting in the private rented sector by providing advice and training to Landlords/Agents for the benefit of their tenants.
