Your donation will change someone’s life.  You’ll be surprised to learn that any amount we receive can make a real difference to someone who is homeless.

What your donation will pay for?

100% of the money raised through donations will be kept in either of our two separate funds. Nothing is taken out for overhead costs.  Unless, a donor has a preference for either one of the funds, then their donation will be allocated to the fund which has the greatest demand at the time of us receiving the money. Our two funds are:

The Bond Pot

By contributing towards a bond, you will provide the means for a homeless person or family to gain a roof over their heads.

  • £250 provides a bond to house a single homeless person.
  • £425 provides a bond for a family with children.

As over 60% of our bonds are returned unclaimed at the end of someone’s tenancy, this means we are able to reuse your money again and again to house other homeless people.  Without your support, this would not be possible.

The Homeless Independence Fund

Once people have found a place to call home, we are committed to making every effort to ensure, we offer the support and financial assistance to help them begin their journey towards independence, minimise the risks of a return to homelessness and increasing people’s chances to a more stable and self-sustaining future. This is where we developed the idea to raise money to go into a Homeless Independence Fund.  This fund will be used to provide homeless and recently housed homeless people with the means to move towards independence.  This could range from items needed to set up a home, provide some basic toiletries, paying for a copy of someone’s birth certificate so they can set up a bank account and access other services, engage in training and educational opportunities, clothes for someone to attend a job interview.  These are just some recent examples of how we have helped people on their journey towards independence – the list is by no means exhaustive! Your donation will change someone’s life.  You’ll be surprised to learn that any amount we receive can be put to good use and make a real difference to someone who is homeless.

Join our fundraising events

We have a number of ideas for the year.  There will be a walk in the spring to raise awareness, a non-uniform or dress down day in the summer and we are hoping to encourage people to host their own event to raise money on our behalf on World Homelessness Day. Let us know if you want to get involved in helping us to plan for these events or are able to come along and support our worthy cause. These are just a few ways you can make a real difference to the lives of so many homeless people. Without your consideration, the work we do would not be possible.
