Here at The Bond Board, we know that being homeless will be one of the most stressful times of your life. Not having your own place to call home can leave you feeling stressed, scared, vulnerable and alone. You may not know where to turn to advice or worry about how you will be treated if you do ask for help.
The Bond Board believes that:
-Find landlords with properties available for people accepted for a Bond Guarantee here
-Get 1-1 support with stuff like getting furniture, sorting out bills, managing debts and much more from our Making the Link Support Service
-If you are homeless and can’t afford to live on your own, apply to move into shared accommodation and get support from our Letting Out Service
-Have a brew, get information and advice about money problems, benefits, finding somewhere to live and loads more whilst meeting people in similar situations. You can even get freebies, such as food parcels and low energy saving equipment at our Quids In coffee mornings
-Having problems with your landlord? Not sure where you stand? Find out in our Top Tips for private renting guide
-Find further information about our HARP PROJECT here. In partnership with Petrus Rochdale, we can help you with:
- Instant help and support when you are in crisis, such as literally homeless, or without money and food.
-1-1, specialist advice about all your benefit problems. We know that benefit problems like sanctions, benefits being suspended, overpayments, appeals can all seriously effect your wellbeing. Our new worker will be helping you to sort your benefit problems out and will go to appeal hearings with you.
-Share your experiences and work to find out what it’s like for others to be homeless or struggling to get by becoming one of our Sustainable Livelihood Peer Researchers.
Contact The Bond Board and we will:
-Listen to you and respect your wishes.
-Treat you with dignity and respect.
-Keep your information confidential.
-Try our best to help you. If we can’t help you, we will try to find somewhere else that can.
-Help you to work out all of your housing options and work to get you housed.
-If appropriate, provide you with a Bond Guarantee if you don’t have the cash to pay a deposit to a private landlord.
-Help you to sort out other problems too including benefit problems, lack of food or fuel, debts, health problems and whatever else you need.
